Refund Policy

Effective May 28, 2026. We want you to be happy with Rig. If you’re not, here’s how to get your money back.

1. The 14-day window

You can request a full refund within 14 calendar days of your purchase, for any reason. You do not need to give a reason; we will not ask you to justify it.

2. How to request a refund

Email [email protected] from the email address on the purchase, with the subject line Refund request and either:

We usually reply within one business day. Refunds are issued by Paddle as Merchant of Record, back to the original payment method. Depending on your bank or card issuer the money typically lands within 5–10 business days.

3. What happens to your licence

Once a refund is processed, your licence is marked refunded and stops verifying against our servers. The desktop app will fall back to the free tier (four-project cap) on its next verification. Any signed credential the app already cached will keep working until the next time it tries to re-verify (typically on reinstall or when you switch machines) — this is an accepted side-effect of the offline-first verification model.

4. After the 14 days

We’re happy to consider refunds outside the 14-day window on a case-by-case basis — for example, if Rig stops working for you because of a bug we cannot fix in reasonable time. Email us and we will review it fairly.

5. What is not refundable

We may decline a refund where there is clear evidence of abuse:

In these cases we may also revoke the licence and block the account from future purchases.

6. Statutory rights

If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that grants you a statutory right of withdrawal or refund that is longer or more generous than the 14 days described here, that statutory right applies in addition to this policy.

7. Free tier

The free tier is free. There is nothing to refund.
